Hilton Southampton – The Ageas Bowl Director of Sales Jon Fisher gives his thoughts ahead of the south's largest business exhibition event
The 2015 Southampton Business Show, the south's largest business exhibition and networking event, is taking place at the The Ageas Bowl next week.
Organised by Memo Events, the exhibition on Thursday 19th November offers established businesses and start-up companies across the south the opportunity to network and forge new business partnerships.
Ahead of the event, Hilton Southampton – The Ageas Bowl Director of Sales Jon Fisher gives an insight into what it’s like to be the host venue of such a large exhibition:
“We have a great relationship with Memo Events who organise the exhibition and they recognise that it is a showcase opportunity for us and whilst it’s their event, we make sure we provide superb service, make sure the exhibitors are comfortable and we do what we can to make sure each business gets what they can out of it.”
With over 120 exhibitors representing a variety of local service providers and more than 1,000 visitors predicted on the day, Jon Fisher feels the Southampton Business Show caters for all:
“Not only does the diversity of the exhibitors make it very attractive for people to attend, but it’s a great opportunity for networking. We are very lucky to have the space that we have here at the The Ageas Bowl and that enables us to cater for both big conferences like the Southampton Business Show and smaller events or meetings.”
Whilst there will be a variety of companies that will be exhibiting on the day to provide expert advice and support, there will also be a number of insightful Keynote speakers and free seminars to enjoy and Jon Fisher believes the event has endless possibilities:
“The perception of this event is that you will be bombarded will sales people – this obviously has that element but you can gain so much more from attending. During the day, you will have so many opportunities that you didn’t think would exist in this set up.
“There are people here with a lot of experience who can give you their expert advice so it’s a great day to gain some other strategies, perhaps best practice from other companies and have a great day out at a brilliant venue at the same time!”
