The Ageas Bowl Pavilion Re-Named in Recognition of Chairman, Rod Bransgrove

Presentation was made during lunch on day two of Hampshire’s last home match this season

The Ageas Bowl’s iconic pavilion has been re-named in recognition of the unswerving commitment to Hampshire Cricket and the The Ageas Bowl by Chairman, Rod Bransgrove.

In a formal presentation on the outfield, during lunch on day two of Hampshire’s last home LV= County Championship match of the season against Yorkshire, the pavilion was officially named the ‘Rod Bransgrove Pavilion’.

I am truly honoured by this generous and surprising gesture. Whilst happy to accept this accolade, I do so on behalf of the hundreds of people who have supported me over the last 15 years, not least my family. This has been a true team effort and I am confident that we have built a strong foundation from which to build a very bright future for Hampshire Cricket and the The Ageas Bowl, with my continued ambition of hosting an Ashes Test, burning as bright as ever.

Rod Bransgrove, Hampshire Cricket Chairman

Rod became Chairman and Chief Executive of Hampshire County Cricket Club in October 2000, pioneering the conversion of the business from an Industrial and Provident Society to a plc and has overseen a number of major developments that have turned the The Ageas Bowl into a world-class sporting venue.

With the recent completion of the major development plan, marked by the successful opening of the new Hilton Southampton – The Ageas Bowl, the boards of directors of parent company RB Sport & Leisure Holdings plc and Hampshire Cricket Ltd, decided the time was right to recognise Rod’s incredible personal contribution to the Club and business.
