Ageas Zip Wire Challenge to Return in October!

Last year's event raised over £20,000 for good causes

The Ageas Zip Wire Challenge returns to the The Ageas Bowl in October challenging thrill-seeking charity volunteers to raise funds for good causes.

Following a successful launch event in 2015, which raised over £20,000 for good causes, the Ageas Zip Wire Challenge returns to the South Coast on Saturday 8th October.

Last year 150 volunteers took the opportunity to jump from one of the stadium’s highest points, and descend more than 450 feet down to the famous outfield, to raise funds for a wide range of charities and local community groups including the Blue Cross, Naomi House, Macmillan Cancer Support, NSPCC and Help for Heroes.

The event is organised by Hampshire Cricket in the Community, official charity of Hampshire Cricket, in partnership with the venue’s principle sponsor Ageas.

We’re delighted to be able to build on the success of 2015 and bring the Ageas Zip Wire Challenge back for another year. Last year’s fundraisers generated more than £20,000 for good causes and we’re hopeful that we can raise even more this time around!

The Ageas Zip Wire Challenge is open to people wishing to raise money for charities, sports clubs, schools and community groups. It costs just £50 to register with all other money raised going to the fundraiser’s charity of choice.

The Ageas Bowl is very focused on serving the local community, and as a large local employer, we at Ageas are really pleased to support this. As we saw last year, the Ageas Zip Wire Challenge is a brilliant event that makes a real difference to charities and good causes locally.
