August Player of the Month Nominees:

James Vince

The Hampshire captain has been in tremendous form throughout the month of August helping Hampshire reach a record sixth consecutive NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day.

The 24-year-old scored more than 350 runs with the bat at an impressive average of 51.14, including an excellent unbeaten century to guide his side to victory over Worcestershire in the T20 quarter-final fixture.

Fidel Edwards

Hampshire’s fiery opening bowler performed brilliantly with the ball during August and was a key component to the club’s success during the month.

Edwards took no less than 15 wickets at an average of just 25 across all formats, and proved to be a particular handful on his way to claiming superb figures of 5-32 during a crucial home four-day victory over Warwickshire.

Mason Crane

After making his full Hampshire debut in July, leg-spinner Mason Crane continued his fine form from the previous month as he took 11 wickets at an average of 26.45 in August.

The 18-year-old was voted as Player of the Month for July and is again nominated following a number of stand-out performances, including taking 4-30 in his first-class debut for Durham.

Crane also claimed his maiden five-wicket haul for the club during the 216-run win over Warwickshire in the LV= County Championship.

Liam Dawson

All-rounder Liam Dawson has been an important figure for Hampshire in the month of August, contributing greatly with both bat and ball.

Dawson notched three half-centuries in just six innings on his way to totalling 339 runs across all formats. The left-arm spinner also grabbed 11 scalps at an average of 30, proving to be especially vital in helping Hampshire reach the Royal London quarter-final stage.
