Common People Bring the Sound of Summer to The Ageas Bowl
The Novatones to kick off exciting partnership
Hampshire Cricket has announced a new partnership with Bestival, organisers of Common People Festival, to showcase local musicians at Nat West T20 Blast games during the 2015 season.
The exciting new partnership will see up and coming bands from the local area including The Novatones, Bel Esprit and The Costellos playing for an hour after the cricket to entertain supporters and extend the evenings’ festivities. The first three of Hampshire’s Nat West T20 Blast matches will feature bands hand-picked by the Bestival team who will be playing Common People Festival on Southampton Common from May 23rd and May 24th.
The fixtures will be rounded out with performances from some of Hampshire’s most popular party bands including a special appearance from Strapped for Cash, who feature Hampshire Cricket Chairman Rod Bransgrove, at Hampshire’s last group match on Thursday 23rd July.
Coming to watch Nat West T20 Blast is a fully loaded evening of entertainment. In partnership with Bestival we are now not only showcasing the very best of cricket but also the very best of local music. It’s great to be working with bands who are so passionate about what they do and we hope that this is just one step on the way to them selling out the The Ageas Bowl in future.
