Eggars Still Inter Cricket

Alton School Retain Their Indoor Title At The Ageas Bowl

Eggars School retained the Inter Cricket trophy, reaching their victory target with four balls to spare at the The Ageas Bowl, home of Hampshire Cricket.

Sharp fielding accounted for several Priestlands batsmen until a spirited last wicket partnership boosted their score to a challenging 108 for 7 in 10 overs.

Over 30 schools competed in local competitions with six progressing to finals day in the The Ageas Bowl Indoor School.

The top two in groups of three made it through to the semi-finals, with Priestlands edging out Toynbee and Eggars overcoming Testbourne.

The venue was split in two for the group and semi-final stages. Once the boys adjusted to using the whole hall for the final, the teams produced a top quality encounter to round off another excellent competition.
