Dale & Scriven Leave Hampshire
Dale leaves for Gloucestershire while Scriven joins Leicestershire
Hampshire Cricket are pleased to announce the signing of fast-bowler Ryan Stevenson on a contract until the end of the season.
The 23-year old was offered a trial at the Ageas Bowl after catching the eye of Director of Cricket Giles White for Devon in a minor counties match against Berkshire at Finchampstead.
Stevenson made his debut for the Hampshire Second XI against the Glamorgan Second XI last week and impressed the coaches with his attitude and natural ability with the ball.
Everyone has been really welcoming since I arrived here and it’s a great feeling to be offered a deal until the end of the season. I don’t like to think too far ahead and just take each game as it comes – hopefully this deal allows me to settle in and hopefully I can impress the coaches over the next two months.

White, who also played for Devon in the early 1990’s, said: “He’s come under the radar, but he has been playing well in minor counties cricket. It’s all fresh and new to him, but let’s see where it leads – I think he’s got a lot of talent and potential so hopefully he can develop into a successful player for us.”
