Liam Dawson Named in Latest England Lions Squad

13-man squad named for 50-over Tri-Series later this month

Hampshire all-rounder Liam Dawson has been named in the England Lions squad for the 50-over Tri-Series against the A-teams of Pakistan and Sri Lanka later this month.

Liam Dawson and Sam Billings are the only two members of the Lions squad to have played senior international cricket.

Dawson has been in impressive form this season and the 26-year old showed his class on the international stage this week, finishing with figures of 3-27 on his England debut against Sri Lanka in a NatWest International T20 match at the The Ageas Bowl.

Northamptonshire’s Ben Duckett, Worcestershire’s Brett D’Oliveira and Lancashire’s Liam Livingstone are rewarded for their impressive county form this season with first Lions call-ups, and Kent’s Daniel Bell-Drummond, Worcestershire’s Joe Clarke and Somerset’s Jamie Overton join Malan, Dawson, Billings and Tom Curran to provide continuity from the winter.
