Match Preview: Hampshire v Somerset - LV= County Championship

Hampshire will be looking to build from their first LV= County Championship win of the season as they secured an emphatic away victory against Sussex in last week’s fixture to see them climb up the table.

Jimmy Adams’ side currently sit sixth in Division One and they return home to The Ageas Bowl to face a Somerset side who lie just one place above them in fifth. 

Hampshire Squad:

Fidel Edwards' return to the West Indies for the CPL means that Brad Wheal, James Tomlinson and Chris Wood are all named in the 13-man squad. James Vince's unavailability due to international commitments with England means that Liam Dawson is likely to return to the side after missing the victory over Sussex at Hove. 

The Opposition:

A mixed start to the 2015 LV= County Championship campaign means Somerset currently lie just one spot above Hampshire in sixth. However a nail-biting two-wicket win over Nottinghamshire last week will have bouyed Marcus Trescothick’s side as they make their first trip to the The Ageas Bowl this season.
