Match Preview: Hampshire v Warwickshire - LV= County Championship

Squad news ahead of Hampshire's LV=County Championship match against Warwickshire at the The Ageas Bowl beginning on Friday

Hampshire will be hoping that their impressive Royal London One-Day Cup form will stand them in good stead as they seek a second win of the 2015 LV= County Championship campaign, upon returning to the The Ageas Bowl to face Warwickshire beginning on Friday.

The two teams line-up against each-other for the second time in three days, and following an impressive showing in Wednesday’s 50-over win, James Vince will be wanting his side to transfer their limited-overs success into similar efforts in the four-day competition.

Hampshire Squad:

Hampshire name a 13-man squad for the fixture and Fidel Edwards makes his LV=CC return after last featuring in the last four-day victory against Sussex back in June.

Adam Wheater returns once again after being unavailable against Durham whilst spinner Danny Briggs is also included.

The Opposition:

Warwickshire have enjoyed an impressive LV= County Championship campaign so far in 2015, with the visitors still currently possessing title hopes as they sit in second place in Division One.

Varun Chopra, who took over the captaincy this season, will lead his side once again and is likely to be the man to watch for Warwickshire after hitting an unbeaten century when the two side’s met in the reverse four-day fixture back in April.
