Match Preview: Hampshire v Yorkshire - LV= County Championship

Squad news ahead of Hampshire's LV= County Championship match against Yorkshire at the The Ageas Bowl

Hampshire will be chasing a vital LV= County Championship victory when they face Yorkshire at the The Ageas Bowl beginning on Monday.

After securing an important draw against Somerset in their last fixture, James Vince’s side know that a victory against Yorkshire will greatly enhance their chances of remaining in Division One.

Hampshire currently lie in eighth place in the top tier with just one game remaining following this home fixture.

Hampshire Squad:

Hampshire have announced an unchanged 13-man squad for the LV= County Championship fixture.

Ryan Stevenson, who recently signed a new contract with the club, and James Tomlinson are both included in addition to the previous final eleven.

The Opposition:

Yorkshire have enjoyed an exceptional 2015 LV= County Championship campaign and were crowned champions with two games to spare in their previous four-day match against Middlesex.

Andrew Gale’s side triumphed for the second consecutive year and had been unbeaten in their previous 13 games before falling to defeat against a strong Middlesex side on Saturday.

England opener Adam Lyth is available for the visitors following his involvement in the successful 2015 Ashes campaign, however Yorkshire will be without wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow and all-rounder Adil Rashid who are both currently on international duty with England.
