Katie George

Date of Birth: 07/4/99

Playing Role: All-Rounder

Playing Style: Left-arm seam bowler and right-hand batsman

Club: Old Tauntonians & Romsey Cricket Club

"From a personal point of view I was slightly disappointed with my individual contributions, but overall as a team it was a brilliant year for us and I couldn’t have asked for any more. If we play anywhere near as well as we did last year, I think we can have a superb season. If we can keep the same team spirit and togetherness that we have shown then I think we will be fine. Last year we set our targets high and we achieved them so there’s no reason why we can do that again this season."

Cricketing Hero: Mitchell Johnson

Interesting Fact: Katie also plays football for Portsmouth FC.

Natasha Marisa

Date of Birth: 22/7/92

Playing Role: Batsman

Playing Style: Right-hand batsman

Club: Cove Cricket Club

"I would have liked to have scored a few more runs but I was captaining the side as well, so to lead the team to champions of division two was a great feeling. To get promoted in the T20 was a great achievement in itself, but to win division three of the championship was just amazing. We would like to finish in the top half of both leagues this year and really hold our own against tougher opposition. Last year, we were definitely better at setting a score and defending it so hopefully we can continue to do that this season."

Cricketing Hero: Andrew Flintoff

Interesting Fact: Natasha got married in Zimbabwe

Chloe Micklethwaite

Date of Birth: 9/6/93

Playing Role: Bowler

Playing Style: Left-arm seam bowler

Club: Cove Cricket Club

"I knew a few of the players before I arrived here, but everyone seems really friendly and we are busy preparing for what will be a challenging season. We’ve not just been working on being physically ready, but the mental side of things as well. I’d like to think I’ll be able to offer consistency and line and length with my bowling, so hopefully I’ll be able to contribute to the team and pick up some wickets this season."

Cricketing Hero: Mitchell Johnson

Interesting Fact: Chloe worked in Seville and Paris for a year.

Naomi Lynch

Date of Birth: 1/7/95

Playing Role: Wicketkeeper-batsman

Playing Style: Right-hand batsman

Club: Cove Cricket Club

"Last season was a really good year for the whole team, to watch the team develop in the winter was amazing and then to come back to win pretty much every game was an outstanding achievement. Personally, with the bat I would have liked to have done a bit better, but behind the stumps I felt really sharp which was good. This season will be a challenge for us, but looking at our team and how we are training, I’m confident we will get through it and do well."

Cricketing Hero: Sarah Taylor

Interesting Fact: Naomi has spent two years playing mens cricket in Tasmania.

Rachel Carrick

Date of Birth: 12/10/94

Playing Role: Bowler

Playing Style: right-arm seam bowler

"I tore a cartilage of my knee, so I couldn’t play last season, but I thought they all played brilliantly individually last season and came together as a team really well. There are a few of us who have been here a while, but this year we have brought in some really good players. I feel I’m pretty consistent, but I’m always looking to take wickets as an opening bowler. Going up means it is going to be a really hard challenge and it’s going to be a massive jump in standard, but it will be really good to test ourselves and I definitely think we are going in there as a competitive team."

Cricketing Hero: Mitchell Johnson

Interesting Fact: Rachel is going to be playing club cricket in Australia for the second time this coming winter

Sian Edwards

Date of Birth: 18/01/98

Playing Role: Batsman

Playing Style: Right-hand batsman

Club: Hursely Park Cricket Club

"To come into a team when they’ve had such a good year is amazing and I feel I’ve been really accepted into the team and welcomed by everybody. I’m looking to try and open the batting because that’s what I like to do, but I know I may have to wait for the opportunity. I think we just want to play our best cricket and hopefully that will take us as far as we can."

Cricketing Hero: Andrew Strauss

It’s going to be a lot different this season and I know all the girls are really looking forward to the challenge. I knew some of the players from before, but everyone has really welcomed me into the team. I’m really excited to see who we will be facing this season because we will be able to learn a lot from them as well and it’s going to be a great experience."
