Hampshire Cricket’s brand new initiative aimed at supporting recreational cricket in the county kicked off in style as Portsmouth Cricket Club received a special visit.
Sean Ervine, Brad Wheal and Sean Terry made the trip south of the county to inspire Portsmouth’s junior section as part of Hampshire’s ‘Club of the Month’ Scheme.
The trio signed autographs and gave their top coaching tips to the junior members to support their preparations for the season.
Firstly, it was fantastic to see such a great turnout – their enthusiasm for cricket at such a young age is so refreshing to see. It’s not often we get a chance to come to the Portsmouth area, but their support for us is always brilliant and hopefully that will continue moving forward.
Sean Ervine, Hampshire All-Rounder
As a Club we are putting a lot of resource into this scheme and seeing the turnout and response from everyone at Portsmouth CC makes it all worthwhile.
Stuart Robertson, Commercial Director
