South Wilts and Havant Face-Off in T20 Final at the The Ageas Bowl

South Wilts face Havant in the Southern Electric Premier League T20 final at the The Ageas Bowl

South Wilts go for a record third successive Southern Electric twenty20 crown when they face arch rivals Havant in tonight’s final under the The Ageas Bowl floodlights, 7pm.

It will also be a second consecutive league and cup double for the Salisbury club, who have thrashed Burridge and Lymington in the past two finals.

Havant, who last played in the tied 2012 final which ended with Bashley (Rydal) winning after a Super Over, are expected to provide far tougher opposition.

Both sides are packed with potential match winners, with Havant needing to halt South Wilts’ explosive opening pair Tom Morton and James Hayward, the latter making an unbeaten century against Burridge in 2013.

Edie Abel and Western Australia’s Ryan Duffield are two other South Wilts players very capable of big hit fast scoring knocks.

But Havant duo Rob Gibson and Chris Morgan are players with flair and present a significant danger of their own to the twice crowned t20 holders.

Havant: S Ransley, Bulled, Gibson, Hindley, Hopson, Hovey, Matthews, Morgan, Prentice, Stone, Walker.

South Wilts:  Morton, Hayward, Abel, Mynott, Duffield, Cranch, R. Pittman, Foley, Evans, Warner, Ducellier.
