The Ageas Bowl’s new golf course will play host to a charity challenge later this month involving cricketing legends Sir Ian “Beefy” Botham and Shane Warne.
On Thursday 21st July, Sir Ian Botham and Shane Warne will be completing a round of golf with a difference.
The Golf Challenge 2016 will see a round of golf played with every hole in a different first-class cricketing county.
The 11th hole of the challenge will be in Hampshire with the two cricketing legends and their golfing partners set to fly in to the The Ageas Bowl by helicopter at 2:20pm.
The two teams will then play the 18th hole at our very own Boundary Lakes Golf Course, the name of new course at the home of Hampshire Cricket.
The challenge will be starting at 6:00am at Rockliffe Hall, County Durham and finishing at The Worsley Marriott, Lancashire at 8:30pm.
All proceeds raised by this event will be going to The Beefy Charity Foundation, www.beefysfoundation.org.
Boundary Lakes at the The Ageas Bowl, a picturesque 18-hole golf course, will be open to the public in summer 2017. For more information, please follow the link: http://www.ageasbowl.com/hotel-golf-and-spa/golf/
