Tino Best Receives Penalty From ECB Cricket Discipline Commission

ECB Statement: Tino Best

The England and Wales Cricket Board’s Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) today confirmed that Hampshire fast-bowler Tino Best has received a penalty under the ECB’s Directives.

Best was reported by umpires Martin Saggers and Neil Bainton during Hampshire’s NatWest T20 Blast match against Essex on 24th June 2016, for a Level Two breach of the code (throwing the ball at or near a player, umpire or official in an inappropriate and dangerous manner).

The penalty for this offence is a reprimand (three penalty points). This penalty will remain on his record for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine, 18 or more penalty points in any two year period will result in an automatic suspension.
