Hampshire Members Offered Free Tour of the Ageas Bowl
Mar 7 2013
As excitement builds with the 2013 cricket season fast approaching, Hampshire Cricket is offering free tours of the Royals’ home ground, The Ageas Bowl, to 2013 Members who sign up before 4th April.
The tours will give a fascinating insight into the history of the club, its players and the ground itself, taking in historic artefacts such as the bell which has been moved from former ground, Northlands Road, a bat which dates back to 1921 and details on the new hotel development at the Northern End of the ground.
Tours will take place on Friday 29th March and Friday 5th April, starting at 11.30am and 2.00pm. Each tour will last for approximately an hour and a half, will be conducted by the Chairman of the Members' Committee, Terry Crump, and will include complimentary tea and coffee in the Atrium to finish. To book a place on the tour, please call 0870 243 0291 during office hours.
It’s yet another example of additional perks being included in the Hampshire Cricket 2013 Membership package after the Club announced reciprocal deals with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club as well as Goodwood, Newbury and Wincanton racecourses.
The packages already offer the equivalent of a “season-ticket” to all domestic cricket at The Ageas Bowl*, priority booking and discounted tickets for England’s One Day International matches against New Zealand (2 June) and Australia (16 September) as well as their T20 International, also against the Aussies (29 August) at The Ageas Bowl**, complimentary guest passes and discounts around the ground.
2013 Hampshire Cricket Standard and Premium Membership is already available online, by calling 0870 243 0291 or visiting the ticket office, in person, during normal office hours. Tickets for International matches at The Ageas Bowl can be bought now via the same methods. Why not come to all three England fixtures and save £15 with the Down Under Package (click the link to find out more)?
* Premium Membership only. Standard Membership precludes Twenty20 matches.
** Priority booking period has now expired.
