Seconds' Semi Hopes Disappear with Minor Counties Loss
Minor Counties beat Hampshire by 3 wickets in the Second Eleven Trophy

Summary
Minor Counties beat Hampshire by 3 wickets
Hampshire: 217
Minor Counties: 219-7
Hampshire’s hopes of a semi-final place in the Second XI Trophy were ended with a three-wicket loss on home turf to a Minor Counties XI.
The result looks particularly harsh on David Griffiths who put in a fine all round performance as he aims to return to full fitness, taking four wickets and making an assured 17 not out with the bat.
Alas, the 217 the hosts had registered (Adam Rouse 41, Benny Howell 33) never looked like enough.
Lead by Australian, Chris Sabburg (whose cousin is former Hampshire favourite, Andy Bichel) the visitors reached their target with more than 10 overs to go (Sabburg, himself, picking up 81).
