Royal Green Jackets
Summary: St. Cross Symondians beat the Hampshire Academy by 113 runs
St. Cross Symondians: 241-9
Hampshire Academy: 128
Hampshire ‘old boy’ Lawrie Prittipaul was the architect of a 113-run defeat for Hampshire’s Academy, taking 5-27 for his St Cross Symondians side as the Young Royals collapsed.
Despite the Academy’s Tom Barber taking 4-56, Ryan Hale’s hard-hit 96 underpinned the St Cross total of 241-9. He received support from Archie Fellowes (29) and later Ed Green (36) as the Academy were effectively batted out of the game.
The Young Royals were going nicely at 70-1 in reply, with Jake George (36) and James Halson (38) looking set.
But a double breakthrough by one-time Under-17 skipper Jordan Finney (2-25) triggered a collapse by the Young Royals, who sank from 81-3 to 128 all out, with Prittipaul returning 5-27.
