About the Hampshire Cricket Board

HCB Vision
"To be an innovative organisation providing everyone involved, in recreational cricket, with the support to maintain and increase participation in a safe environment and the opportunity to develop their skills to the highest level their ability allows."

HCB Mission

“To provide a cricketing future for all”.

To this end the stated objectives are to:

  • Nurture the game of cricket at the recreational level
  • Increase the levels of participation in cricket, be they playing, umpiring, scoring, groundsmanship, administration or supporting
  • Identify talent
  • Provide the opportunities for all players to play at the highest level that their ambition and talent allows
  • Liaise with Hampshire Cricket in the development of future county players

Structure

At the AGM in January 2010 Hampshire Cricket Board officially incorporated as a company limited by guarantee, becoming Hampshire Cricket Board Ltd.

The main reason for incorporating was to ensure all of our members had limited liability.  It also allows the Board to enter into contracts with service, or product, providers and employment contracts, with the benefit of limited liability to protect the Board of Directors and its members.

As a result of incorporation a Board of Directors has replaced the Executive Committee.  The Board of Directors are:

  • Jeff Levick (Chairman)
  • Colin Savage (Company Secretary)
  • Geoff Rhodes (Chairman - Finance Committee)
  • Zac Toumazi (Hampshire Cricket Commercial Director)
  • Ben Thompson (Cricket Development Manager)

There are a number of sub committees, set up specifically to ensure adequate input to the Board of Directors. They are the Senior Cricket Committee, Finance Committee, Facilities Committee (View HCB Facilities Strategy) , HCB Coaches Association and Hampshire Association of Cricket Officials.
