Kabir ALI
“Kabby” is a right-arm fast-medium bowler and right-hand batsman who played for Worcestershire from 1999-2009 with an outstanding record in county cricket.
He played one Test for England v South Africa in 2003 and 14 limited overs internationals.
He looked an excellent signing when he joined Hampshire for the 2010 season and made a very good start with 19 wickets in the first four matches. Then, in early May, he suffered a serious injury and was unable to play again that season.
In 2011 he made his return to the side against Yorkshire at Headingley - taking six wickets in the second innings but, still struggling intermittently with injury, couldn't hold down a permanent place in the side.
However, when fully fit and at his best there are few who measure up to Kabby for sheer skill.
