Elite
In 2010, Hampshire Cricket Board launched the Bluebird Care Elite Player Development Program. The program utilises a variety of highly skilled coaches to provide specific one-to-one coaching support for players, under the age of 21, who are considered to have international potential. In 2011, this has involved seven players from the County’s Disability Squads:
Visually Impaired – Matt Page, Aaron Fowler, David Knott
Learning Disability – Ben Hyde
Physical Disability – Dan Reynaldo, Alex Hammond, Hugo Hammond
Hampshire Cricket Board has strong links with the England international teams. England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) currently has international squads for players with visual, hearing and learning impairments and is keen to hear from people with a physical disability, playing club cricket.
