Emerging Players Programme
Emerging Players Programme is, effectively, the link between junior representative cricket in Hampshire and the Academy. The principal idea is to bridge the gap for young, talented, players who have the potential to get into the Academy, once they reach 16 years of age.
Head Coach Charlie Freeston, selects players from County Age Group squads each year. Once selected, players attend a 1:1 session each week and an EPP group session every other week. The programme is:
- An enhanced version of the County Age Group Programme Designed for those players identified as having the necessary aptitude, attitude, and athleticism to be potentially future elite cricketers.
- Designed to be a high quality “value added” addition to a player’s County Age Group programme.
- Provides players with the opportunity of reaching their potential.
- Designed to underpin and supply talented players for Hampshire’s Academy
