Ageas Bowl Head Chef Allen Townsend
Before coming to The Ageas Bowl in 2010, Allen cooked for officers and VIPs in the Royal Navy for 11 years, followed by eight years with P&O.
Since joining Compass – the company with whom he is now employed at The Ageas Bowl - his roles have also included Head Chef at Goodwood Racecourse.
He won Silver at the World Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany in 2008 and, since working at The Ageas Bowl, has been chosen to represent his country at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg.
For that, Allen was been chosen by the Craft Guild of Chefs to compete for England against some of the best chefs from 28 countries worldwide in the quest for one of the greatest prizes in hospitality.
Allen was awarded a diploma at the event.
