Hamza RIAZUDDIN
Hamza is a right-hand batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler.
He was born in London and played for England Under-19 in 2008-2009. He made his first-class debut v Somerset at Taunton in 2008 but has played more regularly in limited overs and T20 matches to date.
He has impressed in T20 competitions taking 3-15 v Sussex at The Rose Bowl in 2009 and bowling well when given a regular place in the Caribbean T20 competition in 2011. His best figures there were 4-15 against the Windward Islands in Barbados and he took 12 wickets in the tournament at an excellent economy rate of just over five runs per over.
In 2011, he featured only in the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition where he played four times, taking 3-37 against Scotland in the final match of the competition.
But, given a run in the four-day side at the beginning of 2012, Hamza took his first Championship five-wicket haul for the club against Glamorgan at the SWALEC Stadium, Cardiff - a match in which he also hit the winning runs in a dramatic penultimate-ball thriller.
