Umpires Courses
Level 1
The programme of England and Wales Cricket Board Association of Cricket Officials [ECBACO] Level 1 Cricket Umpires Courses to be run by Hampshire Association of Cricket Officials [HACO] in the spring of 2012 is now complete. A variety of venues are available and the course can be completed by weekly evening classes, over a 2-day weekend period or a 3-day midweek period.
Successful completion of the course and passing the final examination will enable the candidate to be awarded a Level 1 Cricket Umpire’s certificate from ECBACO.
The cost of each course is £90.00 BUT this includes all the Course Paperwork, a FREE Tom Smith's, a FREE MCC Blue Law Book, FREE One Year ECBACO membership (until the end of December 2012) and, of course, a FREE CRB check – so is excellent value.

Introductory Umpire
HACO will once again be running Introductory Courses for Umpires prior to the commencement of the 2012 outdoor cricket season.
ALL the courses are FREE as they are sponsored by the Hampshire Cricket League.
The courses are ideal for Parents/Helpers/Volunteers and those who wish to obtain a basic BUT very clear understanding of the Laws of Cricket appertaining to Umpires.
Time: All at 1900 until 2130 (EXCEPT Brune Park School, Gosport)

Scorers Courses
Level 1
HACO are running two one-day ECBACO Level 1 Scorers’ courses, as follows:
Successful completion of the course and passing the examination will entitle the candidate to be awarded a Level 1 Cricket Scorer’s certificate from ECBACO.
The cost of each course is £60.00, which includes all the Course Paperwork, a Scorer’s Bag, a copy of Tom Smith's (currently £18.99), an MCC Blue Law Book (2000 Code 4th edition – 2010), ECB Directives and ECB ACO best practice guide, one year’s ECBACO membership (currently £32, or £30 by Direct Debit) and a CRB check – so is excellent value.
If you are already a member of ECBACO and have the Law Books there will be a cost reduction.

Total Ccricket Scorer (TCS) Computer Scoring Course
Whilst not mandatory to have Computer scoring within the Leagues or Cricket Clubs, it remains a positive aspiration. Many clubs already have electronic scoreboards that can link into the TCS system and an "on-line" facility is also available.
The course fee is £100.00, which includes the TCS License Fee of £50.00. Assistance with the Course Cost and/or License Fee could be available from your Cricket Club and we are sourcing any assistance that may be available from ECB.
