Non Match-Days and Domestic Cricket

This information will help you plan your journey to and from The Ageas Bowl. We recommend that you plan your journey to and from the ground carefully.

On Major Match days there is a controlled parking scheme in place on roads in the immediate vicinity of the ground and you are advised that any vehicle found to be parked in contravention of 'No Waiting' regulations may be dealt with by the Police.

Travelling by Car

Getting to The Ageas Bowl is simple. Situated just off Junction 7 of the M27, The Ageas Bowl is clearly signposted.

Travelling by Train

Southampton Parkway Station - trains from London Waterloo, Bournemouth and Weymouth.

Hedge End Station - trains from Portsmouth, Winchester and Basingstoke. The suggested route for travelling to the ground by foot or by bicycle is approximately 1.4km in length and should take roughly 25-30 mins walk or 10-15 mins cycle. A map of the route is included below:

Travelling by Bus

First Bus:

Monday to Friday
From Hedge End Station: Route 8A/8B runs every 30 minutes direct to and from the Ageas Bowl until approximately 19:00 then hourly until 22:58

From Southampton Central Station: First 8A service links Southampton Central station and Hedge End station with The Ageas Bowl. Once leaving central station the bus stop is located on Blechynden Terrace (closest to platform 1). Route 8A runs every 30 minutes from outside Central Station, north side direct to The Ageas Bowl. Return journeys from The Ageas Bowl run every 30 minutes until approximately 17:10. After that time customers can catch a route 8/8A from outside The Ageas Bowl to Southampton City Centre (Above Bar) and from there change onto routes 1, 2, 2A or 3 running up to every 15 minutes to Southampton Central.

From Southampton City Centre: catch route 8/8A/8B direct to The Ageas Bowl running up to every 15 minutes during the day. Return journeys run up to every 15 minutes until approximately 18:55 then hourly until 22:55.

The above is also correct for Saturdays although the last bus from The Ageas Bowl direct to Southampton Central Station is at 16:35hours

Sunday and Bank Holidays
From Hedge End Station: Route 8A runs hourly at 7 minutes past each hour direct to and from The Ageas Bowl from 09:07 to 19:07. On return from The Ageas Bowl, passengers can catch route 8/8A to the station running every 30 minutes until 18:45.

From Southampton Central Station: First 8A service links Southampton Central station and Hedge End station with The Ageas Bowl. Once leaving central station the bus stop is located on Blechynden Terrace (closest to platform 1). Route 8A runs every hour from outside Central Station, north side direct to The Ageas Bowl departing at 35 minutes past each hour. Return journeys from The Ageas Bowl run every hour until approximately 17:10. After that time customers can catch a route 8/8A from outside The Ageas Bowl to Southampton City Centre (Above Bar) and from there change onto routes 1, 2, 2A or 3 running up to every 15 minutes to Southampton Central.

From Southampton City Centre: catch route 8/8A direct to The Ageas Bowl running up to every 30 minutes during the day. Return journeys run up to every 30 minutes until approximately 19:10.

Velvet Bus:

The Velvet A service links Southampton Airport Parkway station with The Ageas Bowl. The bus stop can be found directly outside the entrance of the station building on platform 1. Return travel to The Ageas Bowl on the Velvet A will cost £4.00 from Southampton Airport Parkway.
