The Ageas Bowl is proud to present the venue’s first Outdoor Cinema event – a showing of the classic Walt Disney animation, The Lion King, on Sunday 22nd July 2018.
Join us for the well-loved tale of Simba’s journey from cheeky lion cub to wise king, and sing-a-long to Elton John’s fabulous soundtrack, featuring popular songs such as Hakuna Matata and Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

We will also be hosting a selection of free family-friendly entertainment for all to enjoy before the film begins, including Lion King-themed face painting and glitter tattoos, an interactive African drumming workshop and giant inflatables!
An African animals fancy-dress competition will also be held on the day, with the lucky winner receiving four tickets to the multi-award winning Lion King live show at London's Lyceum Theatre. The competition is open to all ageas so start digging out those lion suits now!
Bring your blanket, a picnic and the whole family for our truly filmtastic event!
Gates will open at 12 noon with the film to be screened from 2pm.
Food and drink will be available from the street food stalls situated throughout the stadium. You may also bring your own, but please note that no alcohol will be permitted into the stadium.

We have received several questions about what to bring to the Outdoor Cinema event, so please find some FAQs below which you might find helpful:
Can I bring a parasol, umbrella or something similar into the event?
We will not allow large parasols or gazebos into the event, however, we welcome small pop up tents, small parasols or anything else portable to protect you and your young ones from the sun. Please respect both the ground and the visibility of people sitting around you. If you unsure then please ask in advance.
Is there any protection from the sun on the pitch?
Unfortunately we do not have a roof over the pitch, therefore please bring plenty of sunscreen and remember to wear a hat.
Can I bring a picnic?
We allow picnics, however, BBQs, alcohol and anything that contains glass are not allowed. We will be serving food and drink throughout the event from our Pavilion bar and food concession units.
For any ticketing, parking or Outdoor Cinema Event queries please do not hesitate to contact the Ageas Bowl ticketing office.
