Salary
: £20,000 per annum (pro rata) + expenses

Contract: Permanent
Location: Portsmouth

The Role

Hampshire Cricket Board is responsible for growing recreational cricket in Hampshire.  We aim to inspire girls and boys to play cricket through the delivery of school, club and community-based programmes.

Working in partnership with VIVID, we want to make cricket more accessible to disadvantaged communities in Portsmouth, helping to reduce the risk of young people becoming involved in criminal behaviour and being exploited.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join our successful team, who has an infectious passion for sport to engage and inspire young people, parents, teachers and community leaders.  Experience of working in urban environments and working with young people, will be a distinct advantage.

The successful person will design and deliver coaching sessions in various environments including primary and secondary schools and within the community.  They will also facilitate lifestyle workshops designed to educate young people on prevalent social issues in the city.

An ECB Level 2 or Core Coach cricket coaching qualification is a requirement of the role, however we are looking for a person with the ability to connect with young people and communities, so if you do not have a cricket coaching qualification all you need is a commitment to achieve it within a short period of time.
