Community Coach
Hours: Full or Part-time depending on suitability of candidate. Includes some evenings and weekends. Salary: £18,000 per annum (pro rata) + expenses Contract: Permanent. Location: Southampton
The Role
Hampshire Cricket Board is responsible for growing recreational cricket in Hampshire. We aim to inspire girls and boys to play cricket through the delivery of school, club and community-based programmes. One of our priorities is to make the game more accessible to people from diverse urban communities and this role will be central to achieving this in Southampton.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join our successful team, who has an infectious passion for sport to engage and inspire young people, parents, teachers and community leaders. Experience of working in urban environments and engaging with a range of communities will therefore be a distinct advantage.
The successful person will design and deliver sessions in various environments as part of the Chance to Shine and Lord’s Taverners Wicketz programmes, as well as All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket.
A level 2 or Foundation 1 cricket coaching qualification is a requirement of the role, however we are looking for a person with the ability to connect with communities in Southampton, so if you do not have a cricket coaching qualification all you need is a commitment to achieve it within a short period of time.
