2015 Elite International Academy Players Announced

Australian quartet heading to the The Ageas Bowl this Summer

The four new Australian intakes of the Elite International Cricket Academy, based at the The Ageas Bowl, have been announced ahead of the 2015 season.

Left-hand batsman/wicketkeeper Jake Doran, all-rounder Tom Andrews, right-hand batsmen Sebastian Gotch and Sean Willis will all be looking to continue the on-going success of the Cricket Australia programme.

The Elite International Cricket Academy aims to use the world class facilities at the The Ageas Bowl to develop the talent of the finest young players from around the world.

We are building a fantastic reputation for developing the next generation of international cricketers and the calibre of the four players joining our Gold Summer Development Programme is testament to the provision on offer here. We know all four players are highly thought of in Australia and we are looking forward to developing them further here at the The Ageas Bowl.

Richard Browning, Elite International Cricket Academy Manager

In the same format as the last two years, the four Australians have been allocated league Clubs ahead of the 2015 season.

18-year old Jake Doran, who kept wicket in one match for the Sydney Thunder in this year’s T20 Big Bash, will join Henley CC, who play in the Home Counties Premier League, for the 2015 season. Doran recently played again England in a 50-over match for the Australian Prime Ministers XI.

Australia Under 19’s left-arm spinner and left-hand batsman Tom Andrews will be featuring for Southern Electric Premier League side Bashley Rydal CC in 2015.

Australia Under 19’s team-mate Sean Willis, who recently featured in an Australia XI alongside Michael Clarke against Bangladesh, will play for Isle of Wight Club, Ventnor.

21-year old Seb Gotch, who impressed for a Cricket Australia XI with an unbeaten fifty against India in a friendly in December, will join Lymington CC for the 2015 cricket season.
