Andre Adams Announces Retirement

39-year-old calls time on successful playing career

Hampshire fast-bowler Andre Adams has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

The 39-year-old has called time on his career following a 17-year career in the first-class game and took 692 wickets.

For somebody who didn’t expect to play first-team cricket for my Club, it’s been a lot longer than I ever thought I’d play. It’s a nice time to do it and I’m still able to walk which is important at the end of your career.

I’ve had a fantastic time at Hampshire; it’s a great county with a lot of top guys who are really talented.

Prior to his move to Hampshire Adams playing for Nottinghamshire and took 344 first-class wickets at an average of 24.18 during his time at Trent Bridge, a haul that included 16 five-wicket hauls.
