Change to Members Ticket Policy for Cricket Live

Members will no longer need to temporarily upgrade their ticket

Hampshire Cricket would like to announce a change to the Members ticket policy for Cricket Live at the The Ageas Bowl on Saturday 1st August.

After careful consideration, we initially decided to ask Members to purchase a temporary ticket upgrade to cover just the music element of the day.  This ticket upgrade amount would then be refunded if you were to leave the ground after the culmination of the cricket but before Boyzone’s performance.  We are operating this event in partnership with Jockey Club Live, and this is the mechanism they use at similar events held at their racecourses.

Although many Members understood, accepted and were happy with this arrangement, some were not.

We are always happy to receive constructive feedback from our customers, and in response to this the Club has taken the decision to allow Members in to the ground using just their Membership card as usual, with no need for a temporary ticket upgrade.

Members not wishing to stay for the concert will then be asked to swipe their cards on leaving the ground following the match.

If this is done within an hour of the end of the match, no further action will be required. For those Members whose cards are not swiped out of the ground by this time, we will assume they have stayed to enjoy the music and we will write to them, asking for payment of a supplementary fee of £14 which is equivalent to the Early Bird public price of £30 for the whole event, less the advance ticket price for the match of £16.

The Ticket Office staff will be contacting all Members who have already complied with our original system and purchased temporary upgrade tickets to arrange an immediate refund.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that our well-intentioned original plans have caused some Members.

Please be assured of our best intentions at all times for the future development of Hampshire Cricket, the The Ageas Bowl and all our important stakeholders, especially our Members.
