Hampshire Cricket & Paultons Park Confirm Hampshire Cricket Day

Families attending will have the chance to try their hand at batting, bowling, throwing and catching with a whole host of cricket and other activities available for the whole family to enjoy

Hampshire Cricket is pleased to confirm a partnership with Paultons Park, which will see TripAdvisor’s best-rated UK theme park, host a Hampshire Cricket Day on Saturday 6th April.

Families attending will have the chance to try their hand at batting, bowling, throwing and catching with a whole host of cricket and other activities available for the whole family to enjoy on the day.

Hampshire’s Roary the Lion and All Stars mascot Twinkle the Star will also be on-hand throughout the event, offering giveaways and competition prizes to those in attendance as well as providing more information about Hampshire Cricket Junior Memberships, Cricket Coaching and the All Stars Cricket Programme.

We can’t wait to meet families at Hampshire Cricket Day and are looking forward to introducing a new generation of cricket fans to the sport. Having recently been named the most family friendly venue in cricket, we are delighted to be working with Paultons Park who share our passion for delivering unforgettable days out.

Greig Stewart, Head of Customer Experience

We are very excited about the upcoming Hampshire Cricket Day at Paultons Park. This will be a great opportunity for children to try a new sport in an environment where they feel comfortable and confident, alongside their families and led by professional coaches who will be able to give them tips.

James Mancey, Paultons Park Operations Director

This new partnership follows hot-on-the-heels of the The Ageas Bowl’s recent announcement that a range of free family-friendly activities will be available for the venue’s England v Pakistan Royal London ODI against Pakistan on Saturday 11th May.

These off-field activities, all of which can be enjoyed for free, include a climbing wall, giant inflatables, laser quest, power-hitting net, catching challenge and kids coaching, as well as post-match entertainment.

Similar activities have been installed on-site at the venue for both International and T20 fixtures for the previous five years, and the provision demonstrates the The Ageas Bowl's continued efforts to introduce International and domestic cricket to the next generation of fans. The venue was recognised for its outstanding family experience at last December’s ECB’s Business of Cricket Awards, taking home the ‘Welcome Families Award’ for its commitment to delivering unforgettable family days out.

Tickets for this summer’s ODI and T20 fixtures can be purchased online via the link below, over the phone on 0844 847 1863 or in person from the The Ageas Bowl Ticketing and Membership Office during normal working hours.
