Hampshire Players Register For The Hundred Draft

16 Hampshire players have registered for this Sunday's draft for The Hundred

A total of 16 Hampshire players have been announced amongst the list for The Hundred Men's Draft, taking place this Sunday (20th October), with 15 first-team squad members and a Second XI prospect putting their names forward.

Tom Alsop, Mason Crane, Liam Dawson, Aneurin Donald, Fidel Edwards, James Fuller, Ian Holland, Lewis McManus, Sam Northeast, Tom Scriven, Ryan Stevenson, Joe Weatherley, Brad Wheal, Chris Wood.


All eight teams in the competition, including the The Ageas Bowl-based Southern Brave, will select 12 players from the pool of elegible entrants with those picked joining the England red-ball contracted players and Local Icons already announced for each side. Hampshire captain James Vince has already been selected as a Local Icon for the Southern Brave.

Following The Draft each team will have the opportunity for a final ‘Wildcard’ pick, to be chosen during next year’s Vitality Blast. As a result, eight high-performing Blast players will also have the opportunity to join one of the teams.

A host of overseas stars are also set to feature with former Hampshire international players, Chris Morris, Tabraiz Shamsi, Aiden Markram, Dale Steyn, Colin Munro, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, George Bailey, Glenn Maxwell, Shane Watson, Imran Tahir, Dan Christian, Daren Sammy and Shahid Afridi all included.

The main Draft will be broadcast live on Sky Sports from 7pm on Sunday and covered extensively by the BBC, whilst both broadcasters will offer fans in-depth build-up and previews in the days before, as well as post-draft reaction.
