Community Coach
3x Positions
Hours: 28 hours per week. Hours will be worked across the week, including some evenings and weekends Salary: £18,000 per annum (pro rata) + expenses Contract: Permanent. Part Time. Location: 2xVarious - 1xSouthampton
The Role
Hampshire Cricket Board is responsible for growing the recreational game in the county. We aim to inspire boys and girls to play cricket through the delivery of school, club and community-based programmes. Specific priorities include growing women and girls’ cricket and making the game more accessible to people from diverse urban communities.
Our dedicated coaches are crucial in achieving this, and we're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated coaches to join our high performing team. These varied roles require individuals to have excellent communication skills, be well organised and have an infectious passion for sport to engage and inspire young people, parents and teachers, through cricket.
Two of the roles will be required to operate in specific areas of the county. These areas are to be determined, and where possible will be dependent on the location of the candidates to minimise travel. The main focus will be to deliver school and community-based coaching sessions, such as Chance to Shine, All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket.
Community Coach – Southampton
This role will predominantly be based in Southampton and help make the game more accessible to people from diverse urban communities. Experience of working in urban environments and engaging diverse communities will therefore be a distinct advantage. This role will deliver various programmes in the city, including Chance to Shine, Lord’s Taverners Wicketz, as well as All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket.
