Match Preview: Hampshire Hawks v Essex Eagles, Sussex Sharks & Glamorgan, Vitality Blast

A 12-man squad has been named for Hampshire Hawks' upcoming Vitality Blast fixtures against Essex Eagles, Sussex Sharks and Glamorgan

Following successive home victories against Gloucestershire and Somerset, Hampshire wrap up their Vitality Blast South Group campaign at The Ageas Bowl this week with crucial matches against Essex Eagles, Sussex Sharks and Glamorgan.

Friday’s double-header against the Eagles and Sharks will provide a further opportunity for the side to continue their positive run of form whilst also keeping alive the hope of progressing to the competition’s knockout stages, heading into the group-stage curtain-closer on Sunday.

Hampshire Squad:

A 12-man squad has been announced for all three fixtures.

James Vince, fresh from recording his first international century and making key contributions throughout England’s thrilling ODI series-victory against Pakistan, returns to the squad as captain. Liam Dawson also makes his return after completing a period of self-isolation with the national side.

Excellent performances from home-grown talent Joe Weatherley, Lewis McManus Tom Prest and Scott Currie underpinned last week’s success against Somerset and the quartet will again be hoping to make key contributions across this week’s final contests.

Hampshire Hawks' Vitality Blast matches against Essex Eagles, Sussex Sharks and Glamorgan at The Ageas Bowl will have a restricted fan attendance with only 2021 Hampshire Cricket Members and Passport holders attending the fixtures at The Ageas Bowl.
