Lancashire are the visitors to the The Ageas Bowl in what is a crucial match for Hampshire in their bid to avoid relegation from Specsavers County Championship Division One.

Hampshire Squad:

Sean Ervine is not included in the squad after suffering an injury in the warm-up of Hampshire’s NatWest T20 Blast win over Somerset last week. However, a number of the Hants players go into the match in decent form having won three of their last four matches in all competitions.

Adam Wheater currently leads the way with the bat in the Specsavers County Championship for Hants with 648 runs in nine matches whilst Ryan McLaren averages 31 with the ball, taking 23 wickets.

The Opposition:

Lancashire are currently in 4^th in Specsavers County Championship Division One after ten matches, having won three matches. Seamer Kyle Jarvis will be the key man with the ball for Lancashire – he has taken 38 Championship wickets so far this season at an average of 28.

The visitors’ bating line-up is likely to include promising young opener Haseeb Hameed, whilst experienced South-African Alviro Petersen is the club’s leading runs-scorer in the competition with 767 runs.
