Match Preview: Hampshire v Gloucestershire, RLODC

Hampshire take on Gloucestershire in the latest instalment of the 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup on Sunday at the The Ageas Bowl

Hampshire take on Gloucestershire in the latest instalment of the 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup on Sunday at the The Ageas Bowl.

Hampshire Squad:

Hampshire have named an unchanged 13-man squad from Wednesday’s encounter against Middlesex.

Rilee Rossouw (finger) and Fidel Edwards (hamstring) remain unavailable for this fixture due to injury, whilst Chris Wood and Brad Wheal (both side) also remain side-lined.

The Opposition:

Having claimed the 2015 Royal London One-Day Cup crown, Gloucestershire had a mixed defence of their title during the 2016 campaign.

Michael Klinger’s side suffered defeat in their first three 50-over fixtures, but looked to be back on track with two victories over Hampshire and Somerset, before falling short in their final two fixtures to see them finish eighth in the South Group.

The visitors have won one of their three contests so far in the competition, and currently sit level on points with Hampshire.

Recent Form:

Gloucestershire claimed victory by 10 runs when these sides last met in June last year, despite half-centuries from Tom Alsop, Sean Ervine and Liam Dawson seeing Hampshire to 342 in their batting effort.
