Moments Of The Decade: Hampshire Secure First Ever T20 Trophy

As the 2010's draw to a close, we're looking at all five of Hampshire's trophy wins across the decade

Hampshire claimed their first T20 title in 2010 after a thrilling final-ball victory over Somerset at the Rose Bowl saw Dominic Cork’s side crowned deserved winners.

The result, which saw Hampshire lift the trophy by virtue of losing fewer wickets after each side scored 173 in their innings’, was one of the closest encounters of the decade and was the first time a side had won the domestic T20 title on home soil.

Neil McKenzie’s half-century alongside valuable knocks from Sean Ervine Jimmy Adams proved pivotal in the chase after Cork and Abdur Razzaq had earlier starred with the ball.

In the end, a scampered single from Ervine and Adams (on as a runner for Dan Christian) sealed the incredible win in front of a packed home crowd.
