Utilita Bowl Announces Partnership Extension with Trethowans
The law firm will continue as Official Supporter of Hampshire Cricket and Utilita Bowl for its third year until the end of 2024
An outstanding display from Lucia Kendall (87 not out) helped St Cross to a 50 run win against a Spencer side containing 5 Surrey county players.
Kendall ended the Lady Taverners Under 13 T20 as leading run scorer (290), closely followed by captain Finty Trussler (218).
After a 26 run semi-final win over J & G Meakin CC, 167 was always going to be a winning score for the Winchester club, who won through 5 rounds to reach the finals at Denby Cricket Club (Derbyshire).
Barnt Green romped to a 107 run win in the national final, but the runners-up spot represented a great achievement for a young St Cross Under 15 squad.
The Worcestershire outfit racked up 219 for 2 with only Zac Organ (2 for 43) enjoying any success, while Harry Trussler (37) and Ned Andreae (22) top scored in reply.
The Winchester based side had posted 121 for 5 in the semi-final thanks to Freddie Hazlitt's 34 and Organ (24*), but Esher looked to be cruising at 96 for 3 with 6 overs left.
But Alex Ingram (3 for 21) made things interesting, and the last 3 wickets fell to run outs resulting in an improbable 2 run win.
England Cricket whiteball captain Eoin Morgan presented the medals at Rugby School, adding to the club's Winchester Warriors League, Millard Cup and Justice Cup triumphs.
