Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket, Southern Vipers and Southern Brave.

In 2023, Utilita Bowl hosted England Women in a sold-out Ashes ODI against Australia on Sunday 16th July, before England Men take on New Zealand in an ODI of their own on Sunday 10th September.

Domestic action saw Southern Vipers successfully defend their T20 title and Hampshire Hawks reach a record-breaking tenth T20 Finals Day, with plenty of other cricket to be played in other competitions.

The Hundred also returned for a third edition, which saw record attendances across each matchday for the Women's fixture.

Ryan McLaren Joins Hampshire for Final Month of the Season

32-year old all-rounder will replace Jackson Bird

Hampshire Cricket are pleased to announce the signing of experienced South-African all-rounder Ryan McLaren for the final month of the LV= County Championship season.

The 32-year old is likely to make his debut for the club in the away fixture against Durham, starting on Tuesday 1 September and he will replace the departing fast-bowler Jackson Bird.

Bird will be returning to his home country after Hampshire’s Championship match against Warwickshire at the The Ageas Bowl to prepare for the start of the Australian domestic cricket season.

We are delighted to have an all-rounder of Ryan's quality taking over from Jackson for what will be an important end to the season. He is hugely experienced and will add quality and balance to the team.

McLaren, a right-arm medium-fast bowler, has an impressive average of 26.3 with the ball in 108 first-class matches since making his debut in October 2003.

His aggressive, hard-hitting style with the bat in the middle/lower order has proved very effective over the years with the former Kent and Middlesex man boasting a batting average of over 30 in both first-class and List A cricket.
