Cricket to Make British Sporting History with First-Ever Player Draft 

Ahead of the introduction of The Hundred next summer, a men's player draft will take place on Sunday 20th October

Cricket fans will be able to watch cricketing history unfold live this Sunday (20th October), as eight men’s teams are chosen from some of the world’s best players in the first ever player Draft for The Hundred.

The Draft will ensure an even spread of players across each team, including England’s Test cricketers and ICC Men’s World Cup winners, the best First-Class Cricketers and international stars, as well as some of the best players from around the world. The result will be eight brand new teams, who’ll go head-to-head in the new competition in July 2020.

The Hundred Draft will be available for fans to follow in a number of different ways with live TV coverage available from 7pm on Sky One, Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Cricket via the Sky Sports App and skysports.com.

Coverage will also be available live on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport will provide a live stream and text commentrary. A live stream will be available too at thehundred.com.

A host of sporting stars will feature on the night with Ian Ward and Isa Guha hosting Sky’s coverage alongside Rob Key and Nasser Hussain as well as special guests, including World Cup winning legends Jofra Archer, Heather Knight and Ben Stokes.

BBC commentary will be provided by World Cup winners Ebony Rainford-Brent and Mark Wood alongside Test Match Special commentator Henry Moeran, while Eleanor Oldroyd will provide updates from the draft into Radio 5 Live.
