Job Title: Hampshire Cricket & Southern Vipers - Assistant Physiotherapist

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract - 9 Month (Self-Employed Basis)

Hampshire Cricket’s Science and Medicine Department aims to optimise the availability and performance of all players through the provision of cricket’s best science and medicine services. 


Hampshire Cricket is seeking applications from competent musculoskeletal physiotherapists currently working or progressing towards a physio career in Sport. If successful, the post holder will secure a nine-month fixed term contract with 2 primary roles.

The first role would be to become a physiotherapist for our second team providing care for the club's Second XI side as the team travel for away fixtures. For this role, the successful candidate will provide match-day preparation and care work closely with all professionally contracted players and academy staff.

The second role will be to lead physiotherapy provision to the Southern Vipers who participate in the KIA Super League.  

In addition to this role, the club have the opportunity to supplement the successful candidate with additional opportunities in the club’s on-site Sports Injury Clinic.

To succeed in both roles you would need excellent clinical skills and some experience in the provision of physiotherapy to elite athletes/high performing teams. Previous experience of working within cricket is desirable but not essential. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

You must have qualification and registration as a Chartered Physiotherapist, and preferably a post-graduate qualification in Sports Physiotherapy/Medicine. You should be flexible towards working schedules and willing to travel extensively within the UK.

This is a fixed term 9-month contract with working hours to cover match days and training days as dictated by the service. There is an opportunity to supplement this contract with additional work in our on-site Sports Medicine Clinic.
