Vince & Dawson Named in England ODI Squad

Hampshire pair have been named in the 15-man squad to face Bangladesh

Hampshire’s James Vince and Liam Dawson have been named in England’s 15-man squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh.

The squad, which will be led for the first time by Lancashire's Jos Buttler, will contest three 50-over fixtures with the series-opener set to begin on 7th October in Dhaka.

After a summer of progress at home across all formats, we can expect another test of our credentials this autumn. The challenge we face will be very different and the structure of our squads reflects the conditions we expect to encounter in Bangladesh.

James Whitaker, England National Selector

I'm really excited to be going to Bangladesh. They'll be tough opponents in their own conditions, and it'll be a hard challenge for us to go over their and win the series. Hopefully, I can keep performing at that level, keep improving and play my part in a successful tour.

Liam Dawson, Hampshire & England All-Rounder

ECB also announced today that Former England One-day Captain Paul Collingwood and England Under-19 Head Coach Andy Hurry will both join the England management team in roles during the ODI series.
