Vince Stars In BBL Final As Sydney Sixers Lift Trophy

Hampshire captain makes blistering 95 as Sixers beat Perth Scorchers to win BBL 10

James Vince - whose incredible 98* in the BBL Finals Qualifier last weekend saw Sixers qualify for the BBL 10 Final - followed one stunning innings with another to help Sydney Sixers beat Perth Scorchers and lift the BBL 10 Trophy.

Player-of-the-match Vince struck 95 (60 balls) as the Sixers posted 188-6 batting first in the BBL's showpiece, in front of a crowd of more than 28,000 at the SCG.

Perth Scorchers made a strong start to their run chase and were ahead of the game at half way but the Sixers' bowling attack reeled the three-time BBL winners in to eventually win by 28 runs - with Vince taking a stunning catch to remove Scorchers' dangerman Mitchell Marsh.

Today's win is the Sixers' third BBL title as well as theirs and Vince's second consecutive following the Sixers' success in BBL 09.

Hampshire captain Vince finished as the competition's second highest run scorer - notching 537 runs in 16 matches at an average of more than 38.
