RPCs were introduced in 2018 and replace the Girls' District Programme.  Players at U11, U13 and U16 age groups are selected from clubs in the Autumn to participate in the winter training programme at 4 centres across Hampshire.  Following winter training, 4 squads are selected at each age group and compete against each other in league and festival matches throughout the summer.

The purpose of the programme is to develop the best players in the county and also help make the game more appealing to girls.  As a result, the new programme is closely linked to the Kia Super League team - the Southern Vipers, which has help raise the profile of women and girls' cricket significantly over the last couple of years.  All 4 teams maintain the snake theme in name - the Northern Taipans, Southern Sidewinders, Western Rattlers and Central Cobras, and also their own bespoke snake designed kit.

The first festivals starts on Wednesday 30th May for the under 11s with the under 13s and under 16s running on the 31st May and 1st June all at Farleigh School, Andover.  The second round of festivals takes place at the end of July.
