Tickets

UPDATE: TICKETS HAVE NOW SOLD OUT - NO TICKETS WILL BE PURCHASABLE ON THE GATE - WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED

Tickets are priced at £12 for Adults, £8 for Under 17s, whilst Under 5s go free! Discounted family tickets (2 Adults & 2 Under 17s) can also be purchased for £32.

Under 5s tickets (free) will be given out at the West Gate on Sunday from our friendly volunteers.

You will be watching the film without provided seating from the cricket pitch itself. Seating is therefore unreserved and unallocated.

 


Entertainment & Activities

The movie magic continues with the following FREE family-friendly activities before and during the film:

Fantazzy Facepainting

Become your favourite character with Lion King themed facepainting and glitter tattoos from the team at Fantazzy.

African Drumming Workshop

Be transported to the pride lands and make some noise with the chance to try your hand at African drumming.

Giant Inflatables

Slide down the inflatable slide or have a jump on the bouncy castle this Sunday.

Fancy Dress Competition

Bring out your wild side and dress up as an African animal like Simba, Pumbaa, Timon and the gang - with fantastic prizes up for grabs for the best dressed!

Getting Here & Parking

In an attempt to preserve the environment please consider walking or cycling to the The Ageas Bowl. If you cannot do so please use one of the following options:

By Car:

Event parking is available for £5. 

The car park will be open from 11:30am on Sunday 22nd July

If you have pre-booked your car parking space please follow direction from the traffic operatives on the approach to the The Ageas Bowl. If you haven’t pre-booked please note that 'pay on the day' car parking is available but on a first come first served basis only. 

By Train and Bus:

First Bus no. 8 service connects the The Ageas Bowl with Hedge End train station, Southampton Civic Centre and Southampton City Centre. The bus stop is located on Marshall Drive. For timetable information please visit call 0871 2002 233 or visit their website.

By Bicycle

A bicycle park is available at the east gate. Please ask the traffic operatives for direction.

Drop Off/Pick Up

A drop off/pick up facility will be available. Please follow direction from the traffic marshals on arrival. All pickups will be from near the west gate. 


Opening & Closing Times

Gates will open at 12:00pm on Sunday with the film scheduled to begin at 2:00pm. 
 
The Rod Bransgrove Pavilion is open to all spectators on Sunday.

The Event Ticket Office (located at top of hill), will be open from 11:00am until the film begins at 2:00pm.


Food and Drink

Food will be available to purchase upon gates opening.

A large selection of hot and cold cinema themed snacks will be available from concession stands located close to the screen.

The Pavilion Bar within the Rod Bransgrove Pavilion will be serving alcoholic and soft drinks.

The Ageas Bowl operates a strict ‘Challenge 25’ alcohol policy and as such anyone deemed to look Under 25 will be asked to provide photographic proof of their age, prior to being served alcohol.

Spectators may bring a small picnic to enjoy on the pitch. Please note, no BBQs, glass containers or alcohol may be brought into the stadium, only alcohol purchased on site may be consumed.

Additional Information

Cash can be withdrawn from the ATM located in the Rod Bransgrove Pavilion.

Water fountains will be available to use at the end of both the Shane Warne and Colin Ingleby-Mackenzie stands.


FAQs

Can I bring a parasol, umbrella or something similar into the event?

We will not allow large parasols or gazebos into the event, however, we welcome small pop up tents, small umbrellas or anything else portable to protect you and your children from the sun. Please respect both the ground and  the visibility of people sitting around you. If you unsure then please ask in advance.

Is there any protection from the sun on the pitch?

Unfortunately we do not have a roof over the pitch, therefore please bring plenty of sunscreen and remember to wear a hat.

Can I bring a picnic?

We allow picnics, however, BBQs, alcohol and anything that contains glass are not allowed. We will be serving food and drink throughout the event from our Pavilion Bar and food concession units. Water fountains are also available on site.
