A left-handed big hitter, New Zealander Colin Munro joins Hampshire for the first half of 2018’s Vitality Blast campaign. Known for his destructive power at the top of the order, Munro averages 33.51 in T20Is for New Zealand, with a strike-rate of 163.59 whilst also holding the record for New Zealand’s fastest ever Twenty20 half century.
The 31-year-old is also the only player to score three T20I centuries in the history of the game and has been involved in the best T20 competitions across the world, including the Big Bash and Indian Premier League. Munro has enjoyed previous T20 stints with Worcestershire in 2014 and 2015 and helped the side reach the competition's quarter-finals in his final year, before being knocked out by Hampshire.
