Harry Came

Batsman

Harry Came is a right-handed top-order batsman who signed a two-year deal with the Club in 2018.

Following his time excelling at high-level college cricket, Harry joined the Southern Cricket League with Hook & Newnham Basics in Division One, before registering with St Cross Symondians in 2017 to play in the Premier League.

From his outstanding contributions within the Southern Premier League, leading him to the league 'Young Player of the Year' in 2017 and leading run-scorer for St Cross in 2018, Came was selected to represent Hampshire at both Academy and Second XI level, whilst other counties – notably Kent – were keen to have the right-handed batsman as part of their ranks as well.

Harry was awarded his first professional contract with Hampshire at the end of the 2018 season. The right-handed batsman prepared for the 2019 season by spending time abroad, playing in South Africa for his second consecutive year, and those preparations paid dividends again this year as Came shone for the Hampshire Second XI whilst also making his first-team debut as a concussion replacement in Hampshire's Championship fixture against Surrey in August.
